sidney
All smiles, ear to ear :yahoo:One of the best find after a long time. Straits 1935 Kg George V, 20cts in superb BU conditions. This may be a common year in the series, but in its pristine BU conditions difficult. There are 2 variation to this coin and it lies in the year. One with a flat 3 and the other a round 3 to the year. Prices for both are the same. Searching round to find out why 2 varieties. Any answers from collectors here? Some stats here for all. Art1.2
Great looking coin Sidney. I would assume they punched the date into the dies in a manner similar to what the US Mint did - rather than have it in the hub. And on different dies someone used a different set of punches. Just a guess mind you.

ccg
Not sure how I missed them earlier, but nice 20c pieces. I see nice 10c now and then, but seldom the 20c.
sidney
You are right ccg. Great 20 cents pieces for the Straits series are rather hard to come by. You may have to pay a high price even for the common dates.

Following are as indicated are the difficult ones in high grade. 1920 5cts silver (Rare) 1920 5cts copper nickel 1916 10cts silver 1917 10cts silver 1920 10cts silver (Rare) 1917, 1918, 1919 20cts silver
