halfdollar
Hi Guy's, Its been awhile, I decided to take a chance on this one tonight. I don't know the mint as the seller did not know, nor did he have pic's of the edge. What grade do you think it may be? To me it appears to be mint state, perhaps MS63? It does not look cleaned from the sellers pic's but want to see what you guy's think.
nicholasz219
IMO, it does not look cleaned. I like the overall look. I think it is a nice coin and looks original to me.

halfdollar
The coin arrived, my pics are not that clear. I have to try at some better ones. But it does show great luster. I would guess MS63 I'm not sure it's a 64 as the Few rubs on the obverse high spots may hold it back. Not sure if the black or white background looks better? And I like the black background. Which mintmaster initials are engraved on the edge? (B.C) is the more common of the two varieties for 1913; (Э.Б) is much scarcer. alexbq2
With silver I like black background, better contrast. Congrats on the nice coin, where will you have it graded?

But overall I think it will be nice addition to my collection.

halfdollar
Got the grade today from PCGS, they graded it a MS66. I think there is only one in NGC slab. Does anyone know of any auctions for a MS66? I searched and came up empty handed

Does anyone know of any auctions for a MS66? I searched and came up empty handed The Goldbergs sold a PF67 in 2000, as did Аукционный Дом "Александр" in 2005. Heritage sold an MS65 in 2008, an MS64 in 2009, and an MS65 in 2010. It's all on m-dv.ru

halfdollar
Can I ask you what kind of pcgs tier service you used to have it graded ? I submitted Secure Plus, it was submitted at the long beach coin show, so it was show service and Trueviews were $10 extra.
