extant4cell
Thank you Alex! Everyone wish you all Happy New Year!!! My best happy moment is getting 1721 rouble in the mail in good order... I was very happy!!!
nicholasz219
Happy Holidays to all as well! I'd say my favorite numismatic moments this year all involve working on my daughter's and my collections together. And finally receiving a beat up 1806 5K after finding one affordable enough for my collection! Nicer ones to come!
alexbq2
I came back from a short trip yesterday, and found this little stocking stuffer in my mailbox. Thanks Santa!!!
extant4cell
These two I received on Friday They were waiting for me in the envelope under the Xmas Tree. My New Year presents

alexbq2
These two I received on Friday They were waiting for me in the envelope under the Xmas Tree. My New Year presents What's the edge on this coin? Netted?
extant4cell
It's a simple netted edge, but I love that coin! It has nice patina
Arminius
Nice Pyramids! I guess it's Egyptian? Certainly, please pardon me, i didn´t realize this is the Russion department of coinpeople. Here is my latest nice Russian coin: 1814 AD., Russian Empire, Alexander I, Izhora mint, 2 Kopeks, KM C 118.4. Again: Not rare - but i like big coppers. STEVE MOULDING
My hIghlight acquisitions of the year were some nice old catalogs. Happy New Year and good hunting in 2013!
IgorS
Happy Holidays and Happy Collecting! The only copper coin I was able to get this year.
alexbq2
Again: Not rare - but i like big coppers. If you like big coppers you should talk to Sigi!
alexbq2
Happy Holidays and Happy Collecting! The only copper coin I was able to get this year. Nice catch! Beautiful and rare! Kind of an earlier Avesta. Although Evdokimov is now saying that new die pairings were found that indicate that these were produced at the Kadashavskiy mint. Or maybe I misunderstood. If it were made at the mint why would they alter I into E?
IgorS
I bought it on vcoins. Can you point me to the Evdokimov's discussion? Thanks.

Here's a few links that have his posts, Evdokimov uses his initials as a nickname - GSE: http://coins.su/foru...%B4#entry743123 http://coins.su/foru...%B4#entry944434 http://coins.su/foru...pic=40450&st=
IgorS
Very interesting, thanks. Well, Swedish or not, the 5 kopeks I bought on vcoins are pretty rare, much more than scarce KOPEIK, which I also have.

sigistenz
Happy New Year, dear coin friends! I hope you will be happy. In 2012 I could not add much to my collection - 2 eagle variants of my 5kop1778EM/1779EM and 3 upgradings, one of which see below. Happy hunting, Sigi
bobh
2012 was a bit scarce WRT new acquisitions. I'm sure that I don't need to put a description on this (ask Steve Moulding if you don't know what it is -- after all, it used to belong to him!): Happy New Year! - С новым годом! SOMMER
thanks a lot for your wishes and congratulations.Concerning the 1831 rouble ,it s certainly the type of eagle I prefer on russian coinage(i voted for this type for the representation of the forum). I had another one in a good grade but not so nice to my mind, I'll wait for coming back in France to seee the which is the nicest Thank you again and regards
