Welcome! Just a little ad to what has been said.

First coin was minted in 1978 (Arab year 1398). To convert Arab year, you should use a specific conversion table, but you can approximate it, this way:

 

Arab year * 0.97 + 622 = AD year

 

Konstantinos Kanaris is portraited on Grecian coin, you showed

@DFL911: Apostrophes are only used in Wade-Giles transliteration of Ch'ing / Qing. In pinyin, It is generally not used, except when spacing out words so

 

e.g. differentiating the two character Xi'an (The city with the terracotta warriors) and the one character xian (line/thread).
