gpimienta
Is there a difference between a Carson City Morgan Dollar and a Regular Morgan Dollar? and if so what is it? Maybe its a dumb question but I am new to the coin collecting world and want to learn as much as I can. Thanks
Mark Stilson
There were several mints. Majority of the silver dollars came from Philadelphia, San Fransisco, and New Orleans. The Carson City Branch was normally the lowest mintage each year. Lower mintage's mean higher prices. They also minted them for a smaller number of years there. BTW just wondering since you have the link on the bottom. If you don't mind whats the connection?
nicscoin
Morgan Dollars from Carson City are most of the time lowest mintage coin from all mints.. Carson City no longer produces coins.

hiho
If you collect Morgans you really have to have at least one from the Carson City mint in a GSA holder. The 1882, 1883 and 1884 dates are still affordable. http://morgandollars.net/gsa-morgan-dollars/
