pies Posted May 14, 2012 Report Share Posted May 14, 2012 Hi all just started collecting coins and the first thing i think i'll learn is the dates of all our kings and queens Anyway I bought a bag of assorted old pre 1920 threepence pieces in the bag i foun d an Edward VII coin the reverse is engraved with the lords prayer as in the picture, can anybody shed an light on why its been done or any other info would be great thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yours is a good find as not too many small coins have prayers engraved. The majority are prayer medals or medallions and as such minted or struck.
