bill
I'm starting to work through my purchases at the WESTS show. One of my favorites is a tiny token (18mm) used at the cliff house to play the orchestra machine. The token dates from circa 1900 and Q. David Bowers has devoted a good deal of time to describing this token in various columns and his classic catalog, Tune for a Token, published by the Token and Medal Society (TAMS). I've wanted one with nice detail for a long time and I finally found one: The image was modeled after a painting of the cliff house. You can find a wealth of historic images at http://www.cliffhouseproject.com/.
