KoRnholio
I already have a very nice one, but this one came along and I couldn't pass it up. It has hairlines much like my previous one, but the details are great, showing just a slight hint of wear at the highest points. There's just something about these that I really love. The reverse design is so intricate and has a lot of different elements in a small space but it's very.. majestic. The obverse I really like as well. George IV was the last British king portrayed wearing the Roman-style laurel wreath on any coins. This portrait was only used for a few years before the bare head portrait of his later coinage. ccg
I always felt that the shield gave these pieces a very Continental, perhaps even German states look to them. Unfortunately I can't say I've seen any Hanoverian George IV pieces.
