KurtS
Spending the holidays in Norway, I had hoped to pick up a few coins there--but without luck. I return home to find these two coins for sale in my own city--at a fraction of what they would cost in Norway. 1780 Christian VII 2 Skilling 18mm, 1gr 1803 Christian VII 2 Skilling. A better grade, plus an interesting mintmark variety--compare to the pic below. I was told the engraver was nearly blind. 18mm, 1.53gr Normal Kongsberg mint mark--crossed hammers

Andrey5
KurtS, You might be interested to compare the mintmark on your coin with the one on the coin I sold on eBay a few weeks ago http://avscoins.com/Sold/viewlarge.php?id=NOR-9&cat=Norway&file=[NOR-9]Norway-2-Skilling-1803.jpg
KurtS
Andrey, That 1803 is a nice example with the normal Kongsberg mintmark Too bad I missed the 1649 2 Skilling for sale--that was a very good price!
