bekiz
Hi, The question is regarding pricing for Olympic Soviet 10 roubles (80th) ... In Krause catalog (38 ed) UNC coins are priced higher than proof ones ($25 vs $20), even with the mintage of almost 2 times higher than proof. For 5 roubles the difference is not that big, but still there is. What is the reason for that price difference? Thank you.

ccg
If you want an answer for me, I'd say that both of the values provided are irrelevant as the coins typically trade for their bullion / scrap silver value.
Candidate
Maybe it's worth calling Krause Publications and ask them?

Also they do pay 8%-10% over melt on those oly sets

BKB
I do not think that when it comes to Russian coins, Krause publication should be a catalog of choice.
bobh
I do not think that when it comes to Russian coins, Krause publication should be a catalog of choice. And that is one thing that all of us here, in spite of any other differences of opinion we might have, will probably agree on 100%!
