shadowugz
Found a couple of old coins I collected as a kid and never could identify them. From the research I have done them seem to be some kind of Spanish "8 Reales" coin but could not find any with the ship on the back. There are only two different coins in the picture, the top center one is just the back of these coins. Can anyone tell me what theses are and maybe how much they are worth? Thanks! Saor Alba
Modern "tributes" to coins of old. Value only as tourist pieces
ccg
I think they may had been part of a giveaway by a large company as I see them now and then. Cereal companies, cracker jac, reader's digest all did various promo items involving coins or copies of coins from the 50s-70s.
ccg
The ship is the common theme. The last one I saw had the obverse (head's side) of a late 1600s French coin, so there's more of these out there. The one of the left copies a Spanish reale (or multiple), while the one on the right would be a copy of a colonial reale (or fraction/mulitple)
