I keep my valuable coins in my safe at home. Thing has to weigh at least 500+lbs. It took three linemen plus myself to carry it downstairs. I know that thing won't be stolen any time soon :ninja:

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee, hee!!!

Confirmed bachelor pad? ;)

Oh, please tell me that is really your house!!!

I don't feel so bad about my 'extra' room. (You know the type, walk in, find a flat space, lay something down on it, rinse, repeat, etc.) :ninja:

Wow great ideas all! ;) Personally I use a combination of safe and scatter. I can really relate to the comment about finding something 5 years later... In fact I found a medal recently that has been on my buy list for 2 years. Turns out I bought it about 7 years ago. :ninja:

ditto and born in the year of the tiger.  Double Cat!  :ninja:

It comes as no surprise that i was born in the year of the rat. And since rats are of course the prey of cats... that explains why i can seemingly argue two sides of one argument all in one argument and somehow make it make sense. Then i have those days when i contradict myself so much i make no sense whatsoever... but i'm not fussy. I'm loquacious.

Yeah finding a medal like that is like finding money in your pants pocket. ;) I had bought it in a lot with some others I was after and it slipped my Swiss cheese memory that I had it. And of course I put it someplace where I'd remember it! :ninja:

A lot of good info provided. My security system is the sign on the front door:

1. I own a gun.

2. I own a shovel.

3. I own 10 acres.

4. NO ONE will miss your sorry ass.

Then, again, no one knows I even have a coin collection. :ninja:

What about just using a safe at home for fire protection. It can easily be hid here at my place. hell i can't even see the floor in this room. My next purchase is a fire/water proof safe cause lets face it shit happens and that is a fair chunk of change i got masked as a collection.
