PhilCarr
Someone deposited $84 in Ike Dollars today at the bank. I found about 3 "blue" (rainbow finished) dollars, but they were all circulated. Are they worth hanging on to?
Saor Alba
If you like them, then hold onto them. I save all I can find at banks, have gotten quantities of up to $300 recently. Every once in a blue moon I find one of the 1973 40% silver examples that were issued in mint sets only and not for circulation.
thedeadpoint
Keep them! Give them out as gifts if you don't really want them. They'll be worth more if you ignite the passion of collecting!
Art
Very unusual to find Ikes even in the local banks that are pretty cooperative. I have about 10 sitting on my desk from my last bank find. It's neat and once in a while I give them to the grandkids or a teller that I know whose youngster collects coins.
mmarotta
I agree that Ike Dollars at face is a good buy. Dealers charge $1.25 to $1.50 for them. They are fun to spend and pass around.
