Rhino
I'm not an expert in this time period, so I don't know about the 12 Rouble and 1700s poltina, but those look WAY too good for their age... comments? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=2&pub=5574633083&toolid=10001&campid=5335826004&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg&icep_item=120695860034
STEVE MOULDING
The 1762 is a common (and not very convincing) fake. Steve
alexbq2
50/50 lot expensive coins are fake, cheap coins are real.
Steve D'Ippolito
The seller is most likely a fraud but is certainly ignorant. The 12 ruble piece, if genuine, is a platinum piece worth five figures, and if a platinum counterfeit is still worth at least 2 grand melt, yet the high bid is 66 bucks? If it's a fake, why not try to charge more for it? Even if it is "only" silver it's still worth 20 bucks melt by itself.
PeterShell
This is the way this bussines goes.. "maybe it is original", "why not try"... "Maybe guy is stupid, blind and total moron that using internet he didn't check value of the coins" Most of the coins in the set ..ok will say that - everything - is a trash !! Candidate
Even if it is "only" silver it's still worth 20 bucks melt by itself. While starting price was $59.99 + $24.52 shipping... "I an not expert, see all the pictures and be the own judge" - to me, this disclaimer says all clear enough. Even if I did not see by own eyes that 2 items out of 6 are fakes, another 1 can not be an original (as miracles never happen, especially at ebay) and the rest items' total cost is not more than $10. nicholasz219
Yes, as soon as I saw the 12 Ruble piece, I was sold. I bid $100 but lost out. That's a shame because I don't own any platinum. ...nor would I if I had actually bid or won this lot.
