alexbq2
Got this really big (10 cm) porcelain medal (1947 Meissen porcelain works). Have absolutely no idea how to store it. Was digging for some information online, and remembered that I had seen similar medals in this ANS article. http://ansmagazine.com/Summer05/Motherland Would appreciate any additional information, and storage advise. squirrel
hmm... to big to be a clay pigeon. too small for a dinner plate.. Id have to agree, put it on the wall. Is it from a collectible series, or one off?

Is it from a collectible series, or one off? The cat might get at it on the wall. I'm thinking safe storage. If you look at the ANS article 2 similar medals are shown. All are issued to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the October Bolshevik revolution. Although, mine has a different obverse. So perhaps there were two sets? The local auction watchers might have seen them before. Perhaps they can tell us more?
BKB
I think I saw something like that on ebay once, but I never pay to clay, etc. You can post it on a Russian forum -- those guys should know something about it...
