Ngdawa
I got some weird French coins that I am suspect is some kind of tokens or special store coins. I have both 5 and 10 centimes and they are dated 1921 with the text "Chambre de Commerce d'Evreux" on obverse. The other coin is a 10 centimes dated 1918 with the text "Chambre de Commerce" on reverse and "Rouen" on obverse. If anyone knows anything about these coins it would be highly appreciated! Thanks! bagerap
These are monnaies de nécessité, locally issued tokens to help the local economy, like Notgeld in Germany during the same times. This: http://www.necessites.com/ is in French, but it's the best source I know. Bob
