Rhino
Where is this from? How much is it worth? It's a Soviet 1 Ruble coin from 1967... it commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Russian Revolution. As far as "worth" these are extremely common, and are worth at most a dollar. mmarotta
Worth a dollar only because of the dollar... Reminds me of the scene in White Nights where Mikhail Barishnikov bets Gregory Hines that he can do ten pirouettes and they take out their money. Defectors, each has the other's paper. Baryshnkov says, "Rubles, pretty rubles. I forgot how tiny they are." Yeah... quae mutatio rerum... Everyone recognizes "CCCP." One time, I was working a job in Cleveland and we were comparing our ID tags with their almost meaningful character strings. One guy had GLCCP. "What's that?" I asked. "Great Lakes Soviet Socialist Republic?"
