1 Kopek 1795 EM

Came across this one coin and looking at it, noticed a signed of an undercoin visible.

Thought some of you with sharp eyes can point out what this under coin may be or is.

I can only see the die clash.

Perhaps there is more to it, but there is a clear imprint of the wreath left of the rider.

You may be right. But a wreath from the same coin series? Check at the circle by the rider's hat. Strange too.

The circle is probably part of the crown from the reverse die.

It is possible. I originally didn't understand what I had with this coin until I saw the possiblity of die clash.

 

If you look carefully at the eagle, you can see many elements that have been struck over die clashed area in particular the lines that pass through the knees.

 

 

Pretty sure I can give a better accessment if you took better photos Lennysky but I agree with Alex right now.

Very nice denaga GSERIES. Here is a better scan of my 1795 Kopek. I used olive oil to lubricate it and now it shows the leaf much better. Some other stuff is also visible, but I cannot tell yet.

This is an EM coin.

 

The 1795 MM kopecks were in fact overstruck on older coins.

I don't expect it would be worth a premium because of it? My guess many would have had similar issues, but I did not have enough examples to compare.
