elverno
1824 Death of Eugène Beauharnais, France. 45.75mm Bramsen 1873 d'Essling 2634 Napoleon's adopted son did not get much representation in medals so I picked this up despite the obverse damage. Eugène was a loyal son and a competent administrator. Though his skills in battle were certainly not up to Napoleon's standards he was fortunate to be matched up against some of Austria's lesser lights in the Italian theater. constanius
Nice addition Vern I wonder have you just acquired a new measuring instrument? 45.75mm seems very precise.
elverno
hehe. I got one of those plastic things that you set the coin or medal in and then read across from the bottom to find the size. This one fell about halfway between 45.5 and 46.
