Another fake PCGS slab

Picked up this head's up notice over on the rec.collecting.coins newsgroup (RCC):

Fake PCGS slab + coin (1928 Peace dollar)

 

Here is the genuine item, from a Heritage auction in 2007 (note the same slab number):

Unfortunately, this auction ended before the seller could be notified. I think there is a good chance that this seller had no idea that a fake was being sold, so I am not posting the seller's name and item number on my own site just yet. He or she should have a chance to rectify the situation.

Another couple of years and the Grading companies will not be able to tell the difference without referring to their databases.
