sonician
I came across a set of these three notes a while back, and have never been able to find out much about them. I assume they're from around the time of the civil war, and may even be a form of Notgeld I apologize for hte terrible scan of hte notes, but they were hard to fit on the scanner together. Each one is about 10" long and 3" high They are all different, and the three denominations are 100, 150 and 200 dinara. Thanks!
Saor Alba
My guess is that they are some form of a bearer cheque, sort of a substitute for currency. It gives me the chills to see stuff from Tuzla, Bosnia - my younger brother was shot by a Serb sniper there while he was on a peacekeeping mission there. chinnotes
These notes are pure fantasy , produced by some clever person(s) to deceive the collector. This is what I assumed immediately when I saw the pictures, but to be sure I asked a specialist on these "notgeld" notes and he confirmed my view... sonician
If they're fake, they're some of the best fakes I've ever seen. They have watermarks in the paper as well. Interesting..
chinnotes
I understand that they took some unused fiscal papers and overprinted them. The basic paper is not fake, but was never used for circulation, only the overprint is fake... Erwin
