Some more of the herd of marmots that I picked up yesterday... ;)

What do y'all think? See anything interesting? Thanks in advance for any thoughts and opinions! :ninja:

(BTW, now that I've hit the magic 25-post number, I'm heading over to the advertizing section to post some coins that I'm selling.)

Nice coins! ;) Congrats. Did you know that the 5 kopeks are rarer than the 10 kopeks? With nearly every date.

(I counted them out from the 30 years of WWCC catalogs).

Your 10kop1775KM might be an overdate? The 5 looks somewhat unfamiliar. It would deserve a closer look :ninja: .

Thank you for sharing - Sigi

Hi Sigi! No, I didn't know that the 5 kopeks are rarer, but now that you mention it, it seems like they do show up less often. Do you have a chart of 5 kopek WWCC auction appearances, like you posted for the 10's? That would be very interesting. ;)

Marmots are your friend! Collect the whole set! :ninja:

C'mon. these are supposed to be the sables, not marmots (even though the marmots sound funnier). I do not believe there are marmots in Russian Siberia. Here how a Siberian marmot, damn, sable is supposed to look like.

I just got one too! Not too bad condition for Siberian coin. Below is one side. It is very hard to find Siberian coins in reasonable condition these days. Most of them are beaten to death, off center or just worn beyond being collectable (in my sense). I cried looking at poor marmots corpses. :ninja:

To me it is not worth $90 as it is heavily damaged. Everyone puts there own limits to what they put in their collection. I am certain you will not be able to sell it for same price as it is on the eBay for many months.

Now I know our board member squirrel's whereabouts - and .... :ninja: he must have hidden his wonderful coins there, too....
