frank
I have always associated Northern Illinois State with the city of Normal, Il, but I never knew that "Normal" came from this original name for the school!
thedeadpoint
Way cool! I didn't know that either. Go huskies?
constanius
Very nice engraving of a great building. What is the size of the medal?
bill
A Normal School was a teacher's college and then it expanded. The building was initially known as the castle. The medal is struck in aluminum and extremely well struck up. The detail is fantastic. It is approximately silver dollar sized. I think it was $15. I couldn't pass it up for my aluminum collection at that price.
