sservice
My husband found this coin in amongst our change. Very weird looking dime with a circle in the center and a starburst pattern coming out from the circle. I never saw a dime like this. The back of it looks normal. It seems to be a little bit thinner than a regular dime too. Anyone ever seen anything like this?? I'll put a link to pictures of it below. http://www.backgroundsbysara.com/pages/dime.html
ccg
Looks like someone took a grinding wheel to it...

syzygy
....hubby says it looks too precise for a grinding wheel. It definitely looks like it was done after minting. Not sure I can even speculate on what tools/techniques were used to do a radial waffling like that - looks cool for sure, but not a mint error, IMO. I thought it looked pretty cool too. I hadn't come across anything that looked similar in minting errors so I kinda figured that someone did it after minting.
