pettifoggist
I'm curious as to any info I can get on this medallion that my wife was given years ago by a relative. I've been scrounging the 'net all night and can't quite find anything, aside from some similar ones on an African eBay style site that have a different design on the back: http://www.bidorbuy.co.za/item/18719402/ST..._ELIZABETH.html Those were minted Rowntree's as I assume this one is given the similarity of the front design, but I'm not certain why the reverse is different. There is nothing inscribed around the edge of the medallion. Thanks in advance for any insight!
ccg
For every coronation and major jubilee that have been lots of privately issued souvenir items. Thi looks like it's from Britain, but there isn't much else that I could tell about it...
constanius
This is BHM#4355 issued by Messrs Vaughton Ltd (silversmiths of Birmingham England) in two sizes 38mm AE, AE silvered, & 32mm AE all rarity N(for normal). The reverse design is similar to that used for the Coronation of Edward VIII medal BHM#4300 which they also issued.
