Help identifying coins (I hope this is the appropriate forum)

Hi, after years of collecting here and there, i am finally starting to organize and catalog my world coins.

I have done a lot of research, websites, ebay, books, and these are the last ones.

I have included a scan of the 16 coins, front and obverse (although i don't know heads from tails...)

I have also eliminated abvious coins from the same country. (but simply a different denomination) .

so, here we go, thanks in advance.

I can increase the resolution of a specific coin if needed. Thanks

Same mistake from me with the coin from Tunisia :ninja:

Thanks for the update.

As for the coins being common, that is not a problem for me. I like to investigate the coins (or country's) "history", to give me a better understanding of the world. Many of the world coins i have aquired are from countries that no longer exist, and in some cases have changed name 3-4 times !!

That to me is the enchantment, to learn more of the world's history by researching something "concrete" within my grasp.

Thanks again to all.

Also, in the front index of the Krause catalog, there is a section called "Instant Identifier", which is extremely helpful for finding the country of origin for unknown coins.

I was not aware. I used an identifier book for stamps which helped with many other coins, but I couldn't find an equivalent for coins.

Thanks for the help and advice

P. Japan 10 yen (date not readable)

Probably Showa 62 (1987), but possibly Showa 63. When I enlarge the photo it pixilates before I can be certain of the character before the one on the right end. If it is two parallel lines, as it appears to be, the date is S62. If there is a third line that I can't see, the date is S63. Either way, anything less than an MS65 equivalent is worth exactly US10.81¢ (including S/H) as of 11:51 P.M. GMT on 4/19/10.
