Countries of use: Vietnam.

Printed by U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing

Fractional notes engraved by John Eissler. $1 note front was engraved by Arthur Wasserbach. $5 note front was an engraving of G.F.C. Smillie while the back was from Marcus Baldwin. The $10 notes front design, "Union and Civilization" was by G.F.C. Smillie as was the back "Ceres. The front of the $20 note was engraved by F.T. Howe while the back, "The Bouquet" was by Edward R. Felver.

There was one printing for this series.

Denominations: 5 cents, 10 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, 1 dollar, 5 dollars, 10 dollars, and 20 dollars.

This series introduced the $20 note. In addition this is the only Series without "Military Payment Certificate" and the restrictive use clause on the face of the fractionals and the back of the $20 note.
