alexbq2
This is rare coin / token ? The only reference on this subject, that I am aware of, is by Rudenko. Only 400 copies were printed, and it is not cheap - that means that I don't have one. I would say - it is not common.
one-kuna
I think this one is contemporary token
alexbq2
I think this one is contemporary token Contemporary to us or to Nicholas 2? I do recall seeing it before. I do not think it is a replica. But most of these were not minted at the imperial mint, there were a lot of private workshops that made them. This one possibly made abroad. one-kuna
Kazakov shows this token in his book but does not comment on it. this token is photographed in Kazakov book at the end (in supplement) and not described - this is correct; now, think for moment - could bolsheviks permit such medal in russia in 1918 or later in the first red terror time even by private matter?? or later during Stalin time ?? - not at all, so it is a contemporary token I think from 1990th when USSR collapsed and Romanov Royalty (including Grand Dduke Georgii Mikhailovich) and the Russian Orthodox Church became legal again as they were before revolution 1917
