beedom
Hi All, I wanted to get some opinions on a 1994-D dime that I found with what appears to be a 'blow hole'. Not sure if this is worth anything or if it is even a legitimate error since I have not been able to find any information on this type of error other than it exists with very few examples. Any opinions or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!! http://img191.imageshack.us/i/img1555s.jpg/ http://img15.imageshack.us/i/img1557h.jpg/ Pictures are not that great, sorry. -Beedom

beedom
I think Moby Dick had this dime. Just kidding. Looks like post mint damage. Thanks for taking a look. I was afraid that it might be as such. Any idea what may have caused it? It goes almost all the way through and it is almost square on the obverse side and there is almost a rounded ball on the reverse, strange. Thanks anyway! Mark Stilson
It looks like something caused a corrosion bubble under the plating. I've seen similar in cents, just not noticed it in dimes.
