netFish
HI t oeverybody, I found this coin on one of auctions, i do not know if it worth what they are asking for. Same coin was sold on eBay for over 400$(200436622294), unfortunately i do not have better picture . From the description i know that weight of this coin around 29 Gramms. Also i read somewhere that original coin should be 31.11 grams. I really like this coin, but not sure if it worth anything.
gxseries
At least 30,000USD if original.
netFish
Do you think first one might be real or it is good fake ? what reference do you use ?
gxseries
Don't bother looking at ebay or other online auctions. They are that scarce that you can pretty much only find them offered by auction houses. If the weight is wrong, that alone is more than enough to determine that it's a counterfeit. netFish
what surprised me that fake were sold for over 400$.... how heavy this coin should be ?
gxseries
Should be 31.1g as you mentioned. What makes people spend that much money are ones who either don't do their research thinking it's a bargain or they hope it's genuine.
netFish
what catalog do you use for polish coins ?
gxseries
Uzdenikov's catalog is more than enough to describe the varieties of this particular type of ruble. I think there were 4 distinct varieties or something. If you can read Russian, here's more to it: http://www.ruscoins.narod.ru/specmon01.html
