Art Salmons
I'm building a type set of Great Britain Coins and I had a few Crowns show up this week and of course they are my favorites. My favorite crown so far is this 1902. 1935 with nice toning 1951 Proof Like 1953 that is toned nicely

Art
Terrific coins. The crowns are very nice. I have a few but not really any type of organized collection.
Saor Alba
BTW late the welcome aboards for ya's - and nice pieces of your accumulations twa. Do rather lust the Eddie VII piece, 'tis rather loverly.
Ætheling
Actually as great as the reverse of the 1902 is, I think it's the obverse that's the winner. So often Edward VII coins appear rather, well 'flat' and 'lifeless', the kind of coins that look VF in EF. The obverse on this one has a nice sharp strike. Brian2
That is truly a beautifull Edward crown Art. I have been trying to get one for a long time , but the prices are far too high for me. Well done !

andyg
The 1902 at the top is so much nicer than usual, almost looks like a matt proof....
Brian2
Got this 1972 crown back in the late 80s from a dealer. It was struck when a piece of string got onto the die and left the impression you see.
Brian2
This is a closeup of the string marking. You can just see the fine strands .
