Art Salmons
I scanned a few more of my British coins and thought I put them up here. 1901 Penny 1825 Farthing
thedeadpoint
Why does George IIII have a classical bust? I don't remember that being the case for GIII, certainly not for Victoria.

Jeez, ya make a guy king and next thing you know he's got delusions of grandeur! XD The George IIIs have him with a laurel wreath as well; William IIII dispensed with the wreath, but still has a very Roman Empire look to his bust. The early Vickies aren't as overtly Roman, but there's still a suggestion of it until the bun-head design was introduced.

ccg
Nice pieces. As for my favourite obverse, I'd have to choose the 1770s George III on the coppers.
