Holders

I always use 100% polyester holders, which has no acid or oil that can over time damage the note. You can tell a good banknote holder if it has a strange rainbow-colorful effect when the two sides come in contact.

Most polyester holders are open-sided with a top fold. I use them for all of the notes in my collection.

if you have plenty of notes, you might also consider 3-pocket pages for use in standard binders. these ultra-pro pages are also acid-free, and are made of polypropelene.

just steer clear of anything made of vinyl. polyvinyl chloride (pvc) will discolor your notes after just a couple of years in storage.

I recently found some pretty rare US MPCs that suffered that fate... they were kept in some kind of plastic wrap that damaged them quite badly.
