bill
Tivoli Gröna Lund amusement park in Stockholm. I believe this aluminum token is a dance token although I know nothing about it, age? actual use?
chagall12
This token I held in my hand ---and the lady held my other hand .. The year was 1960. Several 100 thousands have used this token in Sweden. Numismatically seen , extremely common, as nostalgic piece- priceless ! constanius
Was it the sheer beauty of the design, or that it was made from aluminum, that first attracted you Bill?
bill
The beauty of the design and the fact that it was aluminum attracted me. I like the "Tivoli" lettering and the toning. It was also cheap, so common is okay with me (as I figured it was). The image of a lady holding Chagall12's hand makes it all the more special. Thanks for the story to go with the token.
