The name of the town Eberbach is directly translated boar river and this is shown on the observe: the wild boar on the river! The observe shows the seal of the town. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eberbach Eberbach is 38 km east of Heidelberg in Germany. Do you have any idea on the author of that medal? No, no marks or initials to identify the author so I don't know who made it. I certainly love how the author modeled the water on the obverse.
