bobh
This seller is selling Bitkin catalogs as PDF files for $5 each: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170400607982 Please use this link to report this guy to eBay: http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php?showtopic=11559 (and hurry, the auction ends in two days!) STEVE MOULDING
Actually directly on the item page on the right side under "Other Item Info" is a flag which says "Report Item". I used that instead. Steve

gxseries
Already removed by ebay. There's a lot more of such pdf sales on ebay than you think - Krause happens to be the worst out of there.
bobh
He's back again (item # 170402389216). Reported again.
bobh
Please, keep reporting this guy until he gets kicked off eBay. He is constantly relisting these auctions which only run for a day or two, sometimes longer. You can click on the link inside the auction "See other items" and add all the item numbers to the report separating them by a comma. Here is the link to all the seller's items currently for sale: http://shop.ebay.com/nik19820426/m.html?_n...p;_trksid=p4340 The more people report him, the better! RW Julian
Reported, but I am always dubious when it comes to eBay. I noticed the following, which makes one wonder: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=110453359385 This is a Hong Kong seller peddling fake roubles on eBay and given the title of “Top-rated Seller.” (!!!) Of course COPY is stamped on each piece but it is hardly a secret that such pieces are readily available without the stamp. RWJ
grivna1726
Thanks Bob. I've reported this 3 times now and each time ask ebay why he isn't being shut down. Steve I've reported him to ebay (yet again) in the (probably vain) hope that ebay will do something more than just cancel the current auction (but allow him to list the same offending item again later). My guess is that the seller is far more likely to be banned for failure to pay his fees than he is for what he sells. Does ebay have any interest or concern about anything other than simply lining its own pockets?
squirrel
Does ebay have any interest or concern about anything other than simply lining its own pockets? thats any easy question to answer. NO. The only time they act "responsibly" is if they are being sued, or worried about being sued, or have already been sued.

As you might have guessed, my question was rhetorical. I find it exceedingly difficult to understand how any observant, fair-minded and reasonable person could possibly reach any other conclusion. Try www.antikvarius.com.ua or email antikvarius at gmail dot com I bought my copy there a year or two ago for $120 + $30 shipping. I don't know if that offer is still available or not. The books arrived very quickly and professionally packed. I was very pleased with this transaction and would not hesitate to buy from this dealer again. STEVE MOULDING
This guy is still listing and re-listing both volumes of Bitkin on CD, and I've reported it numerous times. http://shop.ebay.com/nik19820426/m.html?_n...p;_trksid=p4340 This is what eBay has to say "If the item you reported does not appear on its face to violate this policy, we may refer it to the intellectual property rights owner for review. If the rights owner has a good faith belief that the item is infringing, they may choose to send eBay a formal request to remove the listing." Basically it seems they will do very little unless Mr. Bitkin himself contacts them and asks them to remove the listing http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/programs-vero-ov.html
jugoslavija_post
Here is what the seller wrote as a description of the item: "format: .pdf market price Electronic catalog!
