It appears that though this is a coin site, there is indeed a reasonably active Banknote forum. I am an amateur banknote collector. I have been collecting for about close to 20 years now. Have been through the stages, from the frenzy of blindly collecting different country issues to understanding what interests me and what I can reasonably afford and study, finally settling on the India (both republic and pre-independence) issues. I do also have at least one sample of each US small size type, barring the very high denominations, as a respect to the country of my current residence.
