sigistenz Posted October 18, 2009 Report Share Posted October 18, 2009 This lot # 7294 described as 1779/6 overdate. There is, however also a 7 included with certainty. The overdate is thus 1779/7/6. See picture above, click on upper rim to enlarge. But I bought the coin for its eagle. Below see the 1778 with its typical thin wings (common/abundant) Below that one there is another 1778 with different (transitional) wings (rare) Below that my now acquired 1779 with identical transitional wings (let's say scarce) Last but not least the normal 1779 eagle with its broad wings(common/abundant) Sigi Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
