waterskeeter
Hey everyone, very cool site. I was wondering if this coin collection is worth anything? I inherited it but am not a huge collector. all help is appreciated!
Art
Without clear pictures of both sides of each coin it would be impossible to even estimate value. Welcome and I hope that you enjoy your nickels. I really like Canadian coins and nickels are some of my favorites.
KoRnholio
These kind of collector plaques usually just have common date and condition examples in them. Probably not worth a whole lot, but it is a nice way to present a series of coins.
NumisMattic2200
Without stopping to think, 'no' - your coins are a types set by the looks of it, as the coins are accompanied with a date range for each one and the grade doesn't seem to matter. oldmanmike
Have a 1947 octagonal Canadien nickel with a dot next to the 1947. I've read that means it's a 1948 nickel. Value? Good shape.
ccg
If the "dot" is a large, round dot, it's actually a worn out maple leaf. The 1947 "dot" type looks like a small ' mark. The 1947 maple leaf 5c in circulated grades is relatively common and can be readily bought for 50c to $1.
dfraser
Hey, enjoy the set, I have collected many Canadian nickels, and with a few exceptions circulated examples are not particularly expensive. Looks like a nice type set, if you post the year of each coin, and a clear picture it is possible to determine approximate value.
