butterbox Posted July 7, 2009 Report Share Posted July 7, 2009 hi all, today out metal detecting in a known goldfield in victoria australia i came across an english penny (i think). from what i can see it is similar pics to a 1806 or 1807 penny as i cant decipher a date,,any info on this would be appreciated. Metal detecting for me is a waste of time. Where I live I'm lucky to even find grass and when there is some, the ground under it has been searched, torn up, redone, etc humdreds of times.
