Is it something a coin collector would want?

 

For the most part, I'd imagine they are indifferent. You wouldn't want this on the crown jewel on your collection but if a wheatie filler had it, you wouldn't care much.

 

I won't count that towards your Qs.

Is it abrasion? As in like die scratches or polishing?

 

A49 - No. It is not abrasion.

 

 

jeez... I hope I'm not leading people in the wrong direction with a bad answer.

Is it collectability?

 

Is it rarity?

 

Is it the grading system?

A45, 50, 51 - No.

 

It is tangible. It can be found on coins of any denomination, rarity, etc.

 

It is dependent on other physical factors of the minting process, though.

Was die stress lines the correct answer?

 

If not:

 

1. Is it a weak strike?

2. Is it a lamination error?

 

I'm pretty sure Art knew what he was talking about. If you can post a picture of stress lines or die flow, go for it!
