ScottO
they were not always dated, this was the undated version, there was a dated version in 1906, so all i can say is it is pre 1906

satootoko
Very hard to tell from the crappy pictures in Krause, but it appears to match the description of Y#112.10, with the small dot between the two Manchu characters in the center of the obverse. ND (1902-06), copper, ruler Kuang-Hsu. Obverse legends: "Tung Yuan" at the bottom, "Hu-nan Sheng Tsao" at the top, "Kaung-Hsu Yuan-Pao" in the center, and denomination on the sides. Per the 2008 35th Ed. it catalogs at 35¢ VG, $1 F, $2 VF, $4 XF, $18 Unc.
