Pair of temple tokens

Recommended Posts

Hard to say from just a photo - probably not .

Most of them are some kind of white metal alloy or brass with a silvered surface.

Your second coin shows at some exposed parts yellow spots of the brass beneath (or residues of a silver-gilt surface).

A similar one:

gilt Ramatanka (28 mm / 10,77 g),

Obv.: the "Durbar scene": Rama and Sita enthroned below umbrella, monkey god Hanuman beneath.

Rev.: Rama and his brother Lakshmana standing - each with bow and arrow.
