DJB
Are these really fake Siberian coins as stated in item description? If so, how can one tell? This is kind of disturbing if fakes are starting look this good . Any info or input would be appreciated. Siberia 5 Kopek 1777 (FAKE): http://cgi.ebay.com/5-KOPEKS-SIBERIA-1777-...%3A1%7C294%3A50 Siberia 10 Kopek 1775 (FAKE): http://cgi.ebay.com/10-KOPEKS-SIBERIA-1775...%3A1%7C294%3A50 If the seller is reading this, your honesty and candor is much appreciated. I'm just asking people more knowledgeable than myself how one can tell these from the genuine article. Thanks
Scottishmoney
The reverses of the pieces are what look most suspect to me, they are rather flat and without the usual irregularities like the circulation strikes had.

DJB
Just to check myself I opened Boston reprint of Grand Duke Georgii Mikhailovich monnaies de l'empire de russie and compared these pictures - a seller right they are very simillar to originals however modern fakes. Thanks for the heads up 'one kuna'. As I stated, these are probably the most deceptive fakes I've seen yet. At least this seller is being honest enough to alert bidders about it. What bothers me is the unscrupulous sellers who will try sell these as genuine. They will probably succeed too. Such is life I guess.
