I hope that this is ok with me posting this question and related scan. Might I hear from the members as to originality, grade, etc.

Well, what immediately struck me was the fact that it has been mounted on a brooch. This can be clearly seen at 3 and 9 O'clock on the reverse and, to a lesser extent, on the obverse. The reverse has, ergo, been rather badly damaged at those points.

 

It appears genuine and has an unusual spot of extreme wear at the base of the reverse.

 

It is an aesthetically pleasing coin which I would grade just below VF. If it were not for the patch of wear and mounting this would be very close to VF as the portrait is clear.
