siluska
this morning, looking to my 1890's rouble, found this one that i didnt pay any atention at first. it is a 1897 rouble, looking on the rim more carefoully i have saw the mint marks. are those 2 birds, instead of 2 stars can it be a error of the Bruxelles mint, Bitkin numbers 206 or 207? thank you ps the above one is a 1898 rouble 2 stars

The Kazakov reference goes so far as to state categorically that there is no such thing as the Brussels "pattern" roubles. The only one I saw in person which was advertised as a pattern (NY Sale 2007, I believe) had similar-looking damaged stars. There is a variation in size of stars which I have noticed. The "pattern" from the NY Sale had very small stars. Maybe this is the biggest difference?
