New U.S. Import Restrictions Imposed on Ancient Chinese Coins

Recommended Posts

The article refers to a prohibition of importing ancient Chinese coins, not modern Chinese counterfeits of US coins.

"Under the new rules, anyone entering the U.S. with such coins must have a valid Chinese export certificate or

certifications proving the coins left China before the effective date of the new rule (January 16, 2009)".

An awful lot of the "ancient" Chinese coins are in fact modern fakes anyway - so a lot of good such rules will do.

Amen. I'm considering boycotting Chinese food as a protest. I'll only eat Thai instead.

A lot of the "Chinese" food you eat in America is more American creation than Chinese. I learned this in China, they don't have much like what we call "Chinese" food there. But Thai is a nice alternative too. Pad Thai is a favourite.
