thelawnet
Just looking at the Krause prices on some of these, it says those from Queen Anne onwards (with a few exceptions) are onlyworth $1000 in VG condition. This is bullion value, or perhaps the prices are when gold was less, but surely a large historic gold coin should never go for BV, in ANY condition. KoRnholio
Usually in the front of a book like that, it will state the bullion spot prices at the time of printing. Gold sovereigns earlier than Victoria's have a much higher price than from Edward VII onward, I'd imagine guineas are the same.
