Why did Kettle copy the 1796 gold coin of Friedrich Wilhelm II of Prussia. He signed it, so even though it was gilded bronze, it was not meant to deceive. Perhaps he was just too lazy to come up with his own design and just copied this coin down to the mintmark A for Berlin.
