Delta
Very interesting! People put down modern coins way to often! I always find abstract designs to be quite impressive, they way many things are represented in ways which aren't immediately obvious. Didn't like it at all when I first saw it but now I know what it all stands for its a very innovative design. Well done to him!
Hussulo
Very clever. He has obviously thought about the design a lot, but personally it doesn't really float my boat. It reminds me more of some sort of a library token or something? I could see myself handing it over to a librarian to withdraw a book rather than a shopkeeper to buy a loaf of bread with. Delta
I just don't see the attraction in psudo-coins in general. If it was never intended to circulate then its not a coin in my view Five pound coins are an exception, since I spend them all the time! (Though five pound coins always go with a dull monarchy theme )
tabbs
Right, this is a "pseudo-coin" in the sense that, like all euro collector coins, it is legal tender in the issuing member state only. Won't occur in circulation. But at least it can be had at face value - the base metal version, that is. I like the design, except maybe for the province capital marks. And of course I got one. NumisMattic2200
I am not really into collecting Euros either but there are some of them that catch my attention - I love the artwork there.
